Description

Steinway Model L Grand Piano #263063 | Satin Ebony – Fully Restored

First built in 1923, the 5’10 1/2″ Steinway Model L is among the larger sized Steinway ‘baby grands.’ The Steinway Model L was designed to replace the same size Model O. (The Model O would return to production in 2005.) These pianos are extremely popular with home owners and pianists who enjoy having the excellence of a Steinway piano in a manageable size. It also quite common to see these instruments utilized in institutional and performance settings as well. Steinway & Sons Model L Grand Piano#263063 was built in 1928 at the New York Steinway & Sons factory. This ‘golden era’ Steinway Grand Piano is a testament to the high caliber of work that came out of the factory during this period. Expert rebuilding and refinishing work has been completed on this piano and it has been returned to like new, concert level condition. This fully rebuilt and refinished vintage Steinway is available for a very reasonable price.

A Concert Level Restoration

The original Steinway & Sons Factory soundboard has been retained and has been recondition and refinished. A new custom fitted pinblock has been installed and the piano features restored original ivory keytops, genuine Steinway action parts and much more. The action has been fully regulated to ensure a perfect playing experience and can be customized to your preferences by our piano technicians.

Expert tone regulation has been completed to ensure a full Steinway quality tone. The piano features a warm, broad range of tone and a buttery, responsive action. The action has been weighed off to Steinway specifications and responds to a light touch. This responsiveness allows the artist to easily unleash a great amount of expression. The tone is warm yet clear, with a robust bass and a free ringing treble section. Turn of the century Steinway instruments are an amazing example of the craftsmanship and quality that was standard during the golden age of piano manufacturing. Both the New York and Hamburg Steinway factories completed some of the finest pianos ever to be produced.

We are proud to continue that tradition of quality and excellence here at Chupp’s Piano Service. We are a full service piano business with a focus on premium quality restored Steinways. We have a wide selection of restored Steinway, pre-owned Yamaha and new Kawai pianos in our showrooms for you to select from today.
