Steinway & Sons Model M Grand Piano #497916 | Walnut – Great Condition

Measuring 5’7″ in length, the Model M is one of the most popular instruments ever manufactured by Steinway & Sons. These pianos were first introduced by the New York factory in 1911 and the scale design is based on the preceding Model O. Steinway Model M #497916 was built in 1985 and was sold new in 1986 and was signed by retired company chairman John H. Steinway. This piano has received good care in a home environment and we have serviced this piano throughout its life here in the region.

The piano features the original soundboard which is in good overall condition. There are a few hairlines and pressure ridges which do not affect the piano’s overall tone. The piano’s action retains the original Steinway action parts. This piano was manufactured just outside of the ‘Teflon era’ so you do not have to worry about any Teflon action parts! Covered in a nicely figured walnut veneer, the piano’s cabinet is in excellent overall condition with no finish crazing. The interior of the piano is very clean and it is obvious that it has been ‘babied’ over its short lifetime. Our piano technicians will carefully go through the piano’s action completing adjustments and voicing to ensure a responsive touch and pleasant quality of tone. Steinway Model M Grand Pianos are the perfect choice for those seeking Steinway level quality in an easy to manage size. This is a rare opportunity to purchase a genuine Steinway & Sons instrument at a very reasonable price. This piano includes the pictured bench and we are offering free regional ground floor moving with this beautiful instrument.
