1992 STEINWAY MODEL B GRAND PIANO #523991 – EBONY – ORIGINAL CONDITION
With a length of approx. 6’11” in length, the Steinway & Sons Model B has grown to become one of the world’s most famous musical instruments. Dubbed by some to be the ‘perfect piano’, these seven-foot instruments are often chosen by professional and amateur musicians as their personal practice instruments. It is not uncommon to see these pianos gracing concert stages as well! These instruments were first introduced in 1878 and production has been consistent since that date.Steinway Model B #523991 was built in 1992 at the Steinway Factory in New York. It is in pristine, original condition and at first glance could easily be mistaken for a new piano! It was originally purchased new as a performance piano for a collegiate level music program. However, just a few months after its selection, it was selected out of that program by a private owner who lovingly cared for it in a home environment. The piano’s action features all original Steinway action parts and has been fully regulated and voiced by our piano technicians. This ensures a responsive, accurate touch and rich, full quality of tone. The piano’s cabinet is finished in an ebony lacquer and has been freshly hand rubbed to a satin sheen. The piano features a typical American style cabinet with squared-off cabinet arms and tapered, spade legs terminating in solid brass casters. The original Steinway Factory soundboard is in excellent, like-new condition and the original hard maple pinblock holds the tuning pins tightly and securely for a stable tune.
