1921 Steinway Model O Grand Piano #206262 – Flame Mahogany – Fully Rebuilt/Restored
The Steinway & Sons Model O ‘Living Room’ Grand Piano continues as one of the most beloved instruments built by the famed piano maker. Measuring under six feet in length, these ‘baby’ grands have found themselves in countless homes, institutions, and performance venues around the world. Steinway & Sons Model O #206262 was built in 1921 during the true golden era of American piano manufacturing.
The piano’s action has been fully rebuilt with new, highest quality parts. This includes German Renner wippens and new hammers, shanks and flanges. The action has been fully regulated and voiced by our technicians. New premium music wire and custom copper wound bass strings have been coiled to blued Klinke tuning pins. A new custom fitted pinblock made of hard rock maple has been installed as well as a new close-grained, solid spruce soundboard for optimum quality of tone.
The piano’s cast iron plate has been re-bronzed and the lettering hand detailed. The mahogany cabinet has been refinished in multiple coats of hand-rubbed nitrocellulose lacquer. This full-filled finish has been rubbed out to a beautiful satin sheen. The original hardware has been nickel plated and a matching fallboard logo decal has been embedded into the lacquer.
