1992 Steinway & Sons Model B Grand Piano #524306 – Original Soundboard

The Steinway Model B – a seven-foot wonder. These professional level pianos continue to rank among the most popular grand pianos ever built. A common and welcome sight in the world’s leading performance venues, these pianos are also often chosen as professional practice pianos for use in homes. These instruments exhibit the very best of quality craftsmanship and piano design. This has led to some dubbing them to be the world’s ‘perfect piano’. Manufactured in 1992 at the New York Steinway & Sons Factory, Steinway Model B Grand Piano #524306 is in fantastic condition.

Fallboard Logo & Keys

The action stack retains the original Steinway Factory action parts including the wippens, shanks, flanges, and hammers and shows only light use. Our piano technicians have completed the needed action and tone regulation to ensure the expected Steinway concert level of touch and sound. The action responds accurately and confidently to a light touch and the piano produces a clear overall tone with a deep, warm bass section. New premium German music wire and custom copper wound bass strings have been fitted to blued tuning pins. Steinway B #524306 retains the original hard-maple pinblock and the original diaphragmatic solid spruce soundboard.

The original damper heads have been refinished and new damper felts installed. The cast iron plate, the backbone of the piano has been re-bronzed and the raised lettering has been carefully hand detailed. The piano’s traditional Sketch 380 style cabinet has been expertly refinished in a high-grade, high-gloss polyurethane by top piano refinishing craftsmen. This polished finish glistens against the restored solid brass hardware –  a true feast for both the eyes and the ears. This piano is one of many original condition and restored Steinway & Sons Grand Pianos we have available in our piano rebuilding facility. Interested? Get in touch with Chupp’s Piano Service today!
