1995 Baldwin Model R Grand Piano #329557 | Satin Ebony – Original
The Baldwin Piano and Organ Company has a rich history in the music industry. They were founded in 1862 by Dwight Hamilton Baldwin as a retail business, the company eventually began manufacturing pianos in 1890. Awarded a Grand Prize at the 1900 International Exposition in Paris, the quality and innovation of the Baldwin company continued to grow. American made Baldwin Model R #329557 is a fantastic example of the quality and artistry associated with the Baldwin name. Measuring 5’8″ in length, this ‘baby’ grand piano was built at Baldwin’s Conway, Arkansas factory in 1995. This piano was selected and purchased at the Baldwin Factory showroom by its first and only owner. This piano has ‘lived’ in only three placed. The Baldwin Factory, the original owner’s home, and our showroom in New Paris, Indiana! It is in truly pristine condition and the love and care paid to it are fully evident.
The piano’s action features all of the original action parts. These have been found to be in excellent condition and the action has been fully regulated to ensure a responsive playing experience. The piano has been tone regulated by our expert piano technicians to bring out a full, warm bass section and a singing treble. The original factory soundboard is in excellent condition with no cracks or loose ribs. The original pinblock holds the nickel-plated tuning pins tightly for a stable tune. As the photos show, the overall interior of the piano matches in condition and appearance. The piano features Baldwin’s signature Accu-Just hitch pin system which allows for precise adjustment of the string bearing.
This piano features a classic American style cabinet with square arms, a wide rectangular music desk, minimalist cabinet trim, and tapered legs. A dual-position lid prop allows for optimal lid placement. The cabinet finish is original and is in almost like-new condition. The hand-rubbed ebony finish contrasts beautifully with the brilliant brass hardware. This instrument is one of the finest pre-owned pianos we have for sale today.
