Selected at the New York Steinway Factory in 2022 – Crated & Shipped to Chupp’s Piano Service
The world’s most famous piano. First introduced in 1884 and still in regular production at both the New York and Hamburg Factories, the Steinway & Sons Model D Concert Grand Piano is the instrument by which all other concert pianos are judged. The pinnacle of Steinway piano design, these instruments measure just under nine feet in length. Often featured on the stages of the most premier concert venues in the world, they are just at home in the residences of many Steinway aficionados and advanced pianists. Steinway & Sons Model D #619879 was purchased new by one of our clients. Dennis and Tim Chupp met with this client at Steinway & Sons Factory in New York to assist in the personal selection of this instrument. This instrument was selected from a number of new Model D Concert Grands in the factory selection room. Due to personal reasons, the client made the decision to make this instrument available to purchase through Chupp’s Piano Service. The piano was crated and shipped from the New York Steinway Factory and then uncrated and inspected here at the Chupp’s Piano Service Showroom in New Paris. We are pleased to offer this beautiful, concert instrument for your careful consideration.
The gorgeous cabinet matches the beauty of this piano as a musical instrument. Upon uncrating, the piano underwent a full inspection by the Chupp’s Piano Service team. Regulated and voiced at the Steinway Factory and evaluated by our expert technicians, this instrument easily projects the powerful, New York Steinway style of tone expected of an instrument bearing the Steinway mark. The piano includes the matching adjustable Artists bench by Jansen included with new Steinways.
