Steinway Model O Grand Piano #209871 was built in 1921 at the New York Steinway & Sons Factory. This 5’10 1/2″ Grand Piano was restored approx. 30 years ago. This instrument features a gorgeous flame mahogany cabinet and is a wonderful example of a vintage Steinway & Sons grand piano. Description
1921 Steinway & Sons Model O Grand Piano | Mahogany- Previously Restored #209871
First introduced in 1900, the Model O measures approx. 5’10 1/2″ in length. These pianos were discontinued by Steinway New York in 1924 and were recently reintroduced in 2005. A common sight in both homes and institutions, these pianos bridge the gap between the smaller ‘baby’ and larger parlor-style grand pianos built by Steinway. This piano received a restoration/rebuild approx. 30 years ago. Upon evaluation of the instrument, we have found the rebuild to have held up extremely well and the piano to be in excellent condition both structurally and in playability. The restoration work included new action parts, repair/refinishing work on the original soundboard, a new pinblock, new music wire and tuning pins, and much more. A PianoDisc player piano system has been installed and accepts both CDs and floppy disc media. Our piano technicians have regulated and voiced this instrument to bring out its inherent touch and tonal qualities expected of a vintage Steinway & Sons Grand Piano.

“Chupp’s Piano Service was founded by master piano technician Dennis J. Chupp in 1975. Dennis first became fascinated by the workings of the piano as a young man, after observing a local piano tuner working his ‘magic’ on his church’s piano. Under the tutelage of the regional Steinway & Sons service representative, he began to hone his tuning and repair skills and soon began to branch out into more extensive restoration work. Dennis received training at the New York Steinway & Sons Factory and personal training from Fred Drasche, the legendary Steinway & Sons head service representative. All of this would lead him to create Chupp’s Piano Service, Inc. and begin his focus on the full rebuilding of vintage pianos.”
