2005 Steinway & Sons Model M Grand Piano | Ebony – Excellent #575956
Measuring 5’7″ in length, the Steinway & Sons Model M Grand Piano is considered by many to be the standard-setting ‘baby’ grand piano. First introduced at the New York Steinway Factory in 1911, these medium-sized instruments offer a balance between manageable size and high-level performance. This piano was with its original owner until its move to our facility. Upon acquiring this instrument, our technicians found it to be in excellent structural condition and to be in factory original condition. The piano’s action includes the original factory parts, including the original hammers, shanks, flanges, wippens, and keyset. The pinblock grips the pins tightly for a stable tune, and the original Steinway factory soundboard is in pristine condition. This piano’s action has been regulated and voiced to allow for a responsive touch and the classic Steinway quality of tone.
The interior of the piano boasts a brilliant, bronzed cast iron plate with hand-lettered details. In excellent condition, the traditional square-arm cabinet is finished in a rich satin ebony lacquer. The instrument rests on spade-style legs that terminate in solid brass casters. The classic contrast of the ebony cabinet with rich brass hardware is a combination that goes with virtually any décor! Expertly regulated and voiced, this piano boasts the wonderfully responsive touch and powerful tone that aficionados have come to expect from concert-level Steinway instruments.
