1931 Mason & Hamlin Model AA Grand Piano #41019 | Ebony – Fully Restored
Founded in 1854, the Mason & Hamlin Piano Company is one of only a few American piano manufacturers still in operation today. Based in Haverhill, Massachusetts the company continues to be a leader in exceptional quality and innovation. The Mason & Hamlin Model AA measures 6’2″ in length and provides a powerful, broad quality of tone that is often associated with larger pianos. ‘Overbuilt’ with an extra thick rim made of hard rock maple and featuring the patented Tension Resonator, Mason & Hamlin Grand Pianos are some of the most stable and durable pianos ever crafted. All combined, this Crown Retention System helps to lend stability and longevity to the piano’s structure and supports the production of a strong, pure tone.
Mason & Hamlin Model AA #41019 has been fully restored. This ‘golden era’ Model AA was built at the company’s Boston factory. Pianos crafted here are considered to be of top quality and are often selected for restoration over pianos built in later years. The cabinet has been refinished in a premium closed pore lacquer which has been hand rubbed to a rich satin sheen. The original brass hardware has been restored, the cast iron plate has been re-bronzed and hand-lettered and the natural wood damper heads have been refinished.
The action has been rebuilt with the highest quality, select parts. Our piano technicians spend many extra hours regulating and voicing the action to ensure that this vintage Mason & Hamlin performs at a top concert level. The keyboard features new German Kluge keytops and restored original ebony sharps on the original key sticks. The original spruce soundboard has been retained and restored. A new custom fitted pinblock has been crafted and dowelled to provide lasting stability. This fully restored piano is sure to provide musical joy for numerous years to come!

Steinway Model D Concert Grand Pianos are the standard by which other concert pianos are judged. This very rare and stunningly gorgeous Rosewood Steinway & Sons D #52626 was manufactured in 1884 at the New York Steinway factory. Fully restored, this piano features a new solid spruce soundboard, fully rebuilt action, original ivory keytops and much more. This piano's art case cabinet is in a figured Brazilian Rosewood veneer that is sure to make it a visual and musical centerpiece in any room it is placed in. This fully rebuilt Hamburg Steinway & Sons Model D Concert Grand Piano was originally manufactured in 1914. Featuring a stunning and rare Brazilian Rosewood veneer, this concert level instrument is an excellent example of golden age Steinway & Sons factory quality. This instrument was fully rebuilt and restored by Chupp's Piano Service and was sold to a private client.
Steinway Model A3 Grand Pianos have long been considered to feature one of the finest scale designs ever crafted by the Steinway & Sons company. Steinway Model A3 #188826 was built in 1917, during the height of the golden era of the piano industry. This 6' 4 1/2" 'Stretch A' features a very rare and unique Quarter Sawn Oak cabinet. This instrument has been fully rebuilt to top concert standards with a new solid spruce soundboard, custom fitted pinblock, German Renner action parts and much more. It is a simply stunning instrument and it is ready to play in our facility today. Square Grand Pianos are an important part of modern piano development. Square Grands were incredibly popular during the 18th and 19th centuries and a vast number of them were sold.
