It is rare to find these finely crafted pianos for sale in showrooms. This beautiful Shigeru Kawai SK-3 Grand Piano measures 6’2″ in length and was kept in a single home environment since bought new. Boasting a warm and full quality of tone with a resounding bass and singing treble, this instrument is a testament to the painstaking work that goes into each Shigeru Kawai. The piano’s Millennium III Action has been expertly regulated and voiced by our piano technicians to obtain a responsiveness capable of supporting the requests of the most demanding artists.
“The custom-tapered soundboard in a Shigeru piano is made exclusively from the finest spruce, aged by the traditional kigarashi process that uses only the forces of time and nature to allow the wood to attain a state of natural balance.”
Unique Kawai innovations and stamps of quality are noted throughout the piano. This includes hand-pressed “Shiko Seion” hammers, extended spruce keysticks, and more. The interior of the piano has been cleaned and prepped to bring it back to like new condition. This is one of the finest used pianos we currently have available at our New Paris, Indiana Rebuilding Facility and Showroom and we are excited to offer it for you consideration.
Enclosed in a clean, modern cabinet design with rich brass hardware this piano is a fine addition to any setting. The cabinet features a beveled lid edge, built-in brass lid locks, and a multi-position lid prop system. Our piano refinishers have spent many hours cleaning and polishing the polyester ebony finish to ensure a like-new look. It is obvious that it was well cared for and ‘babied’ throughout its short life.
